Welcome to our weekly blog.
I hope all you managed to get out and have some fun in the snow yesterday and have kept warm! We have had a busy short week with lots of brilliant learning in all subjects. In English this week we finished reading our book the Last Bear. The whole class really loved reading this book and many are keen to read other books in the series by Hannah Gold. We have been busy looking at different features of newspapers and creating our own headlines for our own reports which we will be starting next week. In maths this week we have finished our first unit on fractions which looks at adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers and solving multi step word problems. In geography this week we looked at the challenges of a growing population by looking at two case studies. We looked at the challenges in Kibera in Kenya and in New Delhi in India. Both these areas had significant challenges as the population continues to grow. On Wednesday we were visited by our local PCSO Sean who reminded us of the importance of road safety. In the afternoon we were also visited by the NSPCC who delivered a workshop all about the importance of speaking out and staying safe. Children were remined if they do not feel safe or feel uncomfortable, they should always talk to a trusted adult. Have a lovely weekend 😊 Comments are closed.
