Happy Friday everyone!
What a busy week we have had this week, we have begun to get into our normal timetable routines and were lucky enough to go on a trip too. In English we have finished reading the book 'Here We Are'. On Wednesday we discussed the themes that we think the authors covers in the book. We have started researching for own final piece which will be an article all about looking after ourselves, each other and the planet. On Monday we will start drafting our articles using the research. In maths this week we have continued on the topic of place value looking at ordering and comparing numbers up to 10 million and powers of 10. We will continue and finish this unit next week by practicing our rounding skills. We have started our science unit on physical and chemical changes by looking at the three states of matter. We explored the different states by observing and describing the changes happening when ice cube melts. We also performed what a solid, liquid and gas particles look like and their characteristics. On Thursday we were extremely lucky to be invited to be part of the Whiddon autumn festival with some world class musicians and singers. The children were behaved well and sang beautifully. One of the exciting parts of the day was that we got to meet the composer in residence - Rocky who composed one of the songs we sang. I was very impressed with all the class yesterday! Today we were visited by Mrs Underwood who invited all the children to the college open evening next week. We also enjoyed a lovely art lesson this afternoon drawing our Wayob and symbols that represented us. Have a lovely weekend! Comments are closed.
