Welcome to the last blog of 2024!
We have had a busy festive week with lots of Christmassy activities, Christmas party and some end of unit descriptive writing. In English this week, we have been creating our own descriptive monologue about diving into a kelp forest or a coral reef. We have spent time choosing good descriptive devices such as personification and similes. Then we chose a paragraph to redraft and they all produced some lovely descriptive writing. In maths this week we finished our unit on converting units on Monday by focusing on converting between kilometres and miles. For the rest of the week, we have been having a go at lots of different Christmas themed maths activities. On Monday, we were lucky enough to watch the dress rehearsal of the KS1 nativity which was very good! On Wednesday, we had a farewell assembly to Mrs Ware, Miss Ruby and Mrs Budiman it was very emotional assembly, and we will miss them very much. On Thursday we took part in the whole school carol concert and sang lots of Christmas carols and of course Dominick the Donkey! We also spent time finishing our playgrounds. The children have spent many hours making these and should be very proud of themselves. See some photos below… Today we have enjoyed our Christmas party day, playing lots of games, having a go at Christmas crafts and watching Christmas chronicles. I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a happy new year! See you on Tuesday 7th January. Comments are closed.
