Happy Friday! Welcome to the penultimate blog of the half term.
We have had another jam packed week of lots of learning! In English this week we have been busy designing our own monument to honour the Windrush generation. WE have also started writing our own persuasive pitches to persuade the council to build our monuments. Next week we will be finishing these pitches. See photos below of some monument designs. In maths this week the children have shown brilliant resilience and perseverance. We have been looking at the long division method which is tricky method to master, however the children have worked very hard to understand the method. In history this week we have finished our unit by creating either a poster, slideshow, comic or extended writing piece all about everything we have learnt about the industrial revolution. In science we have been busy with an experiment to learn the difference between a physical and a chemical change by mixing bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. We observed a colour change, bubbles and a very bad smell- these are all signs of a chemical change. In PE this week we have been playing end ball which is similar to netball except there are no hoops for shooting. Next week we have harvest festival, open book afternoon and TTRS day! Have a lovely weekend :) Comments are closed.
