Welcome to another blog.
It feels slightly strange to be sat here in my pyjamas in the classroom! In English, we have been continuing with our story of the Last Bear. We have been super busy reading this book and also learning about different grammar techniques. Today we have been looking at what the passive and active voice and how to tell the difference. In maths, we have been continuing our fraction unit. This week we have been looking at adding and subtracting fraction and adding mixed numbers. Our favourite phrase this week is ‘make sure the denominator is the same.’ This week in geography we have been learning about population pyramids. They are a useful diagram to show the percentage of a particular age group within in a population. We had a go at drawing our own population pyramids for Qatar. In science we focused on the three R’s and in particular recycling. We spent time researching the recycling rules for West Devon and now all children should know what goes in each recycling box so make sure they help at home! On Monday, we were lucky enough to be visited by the Bookery in Crediton who have given every a child a new book. We were able to explore their collection and choose the ones we thought look the best! If you ever want to buy some new books, please support the Bookery in Crediton who have a lovely selection! Thank you for all coming to parent’s evening and for your support with odd socks day and pyjama day! I hope you have a lovely weekend 😊 Comments are closed.
