Hello welcome to this week’s blog.
This week in English, we have been continuing to look at the advert based on the three little pig’s story. We have been writing diary entries in character, and we have started to look at the features of a formal letter as next week we will be writing a formal letter about our opinion on the three pig’s fate.

In maths we have continued out work on percentages, fractions and decimals. Our focus has been on ordering and finding equivalents. Today we have looked at how to find the percentage of an amount. Next week we will be finishing this unit and then starting our unit on statistics.

On Monday afternoon we were visited by Reading University as part of the languages project we have been involved with over the past few years. We were being language detectives and practiced our French knowledge.

In our science lesson we looked at how is heat is conducted. We took part in an experiment where we looked at how heat is transferred from the candle through to the handle of the knife.

We have started using Lexia Core 5 reading this week. It is an online programme which is individual to each child’s ability and works on improving reading comprehension skills.

This afternoon, we have spent some time with the younger children reading and helping with DT projects.
Next week we will have the talent show on Friday afternoon. Would be great to see some of you there in the audience.
