What a wonderful week.
This week we learnt about the Arctic and Antarctic regions of our world. We focused on animals, weather conditions, igloos, and what it might be like to live there!
We also embarked on our first ever school trip to Plymouth Aquarium. It was wonderful. The children waved goodbye to their parents at the Square and we set of for one hour and 20 minutes on the bus to Plymouth. Once there, we were shown to our room and had our snacks and all used the toilet stop. Then we headed off for the Shark show where found out about the sharks and also Friday the turtle, who can be rather naughty at times! After the Shark show, we walked back and explored the aquarium, the rock pools and waters of Plymouth Sound and the British Isles, the Blue Lagoon and the Atlantic! We then headed back to have some lunch before one final trip around the aquarium looking at tropical waters and the 'lab'. We then made it back to the bus before heading home again! The children were all very excited and had a lovely time on their first ever school trip! Thank you for letting us share this memory with your children!
Next week our focus turns to Asia and in particular, China, where we will be learning all about Chinese new Year!
