This week we have been learning that double means ‘twice as many’. The children have built doubles using a variety of objects and their fingers. Next week we will continue our learning by creating patterns of doubles on tens frames as well as learning how to share a quantity of objects into to equal groups. In PE this week we started our week with sports day practice on the field. On Friday, the children played team games including kick rounders, learning to support the opposing team in their win or loss. The children were very compassionate towards each other and displayed good sportsmanship. During RE the children discussed their favourite stories and reasons why. We talked about the stories we have learned so far from the bible and why these are important to Christians. Next week we will continue to explore important stories from a variety of religions.
