The Oak Class have loved exploring the great outdoors this week. There have been minibeast hunts, tree climbing and towards the end of the week, the children went on a listening walk where they recorded the environmental sounds that they heard. We were very proud of how well the children worked together with a partner on the walk. The children have enjoyed following instructions to make playdough as a team. The children took turns at different roles in order to produce their own playdough for their Colour Monster models. Phonics teaching has been very successful and the children have enjoyed learning the rhymes and characters for each sound. This week’s sounds were M, A, S, D and T. It would be really beneficial if you could support your child with these sounds at home over the weekend using the flashcards in your child’s bookbag. We hope you have a lovely weekend. Best wishes, Mrs MacDonald. Comments are closed.
