What a wonderful few days of learning. The children have enjoyed travelling to Africa as part of our Ready, Steady, Go topic.
We have explored an African themed tuff tray looking at fact files to gather information and made African sunset pictures by carefully using watercolour paints to mix and blend appropriate colours. In our STEM area, we have designed and African mud huts using playdough and toothpicks, taking time to build the walls in the best way to ensure strength to hold the roof. Our role play area has proved to be a popular choice with the addition of the aeroplane. The children have been using their communication and language skills to book holidays, buy tickets, exchange money and board, or even fly the plane! During PE we have continued with our multi-skills session with Mrs Edwards ahead of our sports day and during our REAL PE we have been on a waterskiing adventure, practising balancing skills and gymnastic type movements. The children are really enjoying this topic so far - please make sure you ask them about their learning at home and see what interesting facts they may be able to share with you too! :) Mrs Nuthall Comments are closed.
