Well, I have been so impressed with Oak class this week. We have definitely started this term in style!
In Literacy this week, we have been reading The Little Red Hen and wrote a set of instructions all about how she made her bread. Next week, all the children are going to make some bread just like her (and maybe even some butter too). Our classroom now has its very own Farm Shop and garden centre where the children have been very busy learning all about growing our own food and what we get from farms, here in England and also across the world. In maths this week, we have been learning about patterns and talking about colours, shapes, sizes and actions that can be made into patterns. Next week, we are going to try some reasoning problem about pattern to challenge ourselves even further. And, finally, we ended this week with am afternoon in the forest- the children were brilliant and embraced task of the rope course challenge- they even helped me to build it. Next week, we're going to tie a zip line and build some dens in teams. Thank you all so much for looking after the plants over half term- hopefully, by the end of the year we will be having a picnic salad with the fruits of your labour. Have a lovely weekend, Miss Prince Comments are closed.
