⭐️ Another fantastic week of learning in Oak Class! ⭐️
The children have enjoyed learning all about Diwali this week. We have been creating rangoli patterns with cotton buds and colouring pencils, making diva lamps from salt dough and decorating them and also creating some Mehndi hands using repeating patterns. We have listened to relaxing Indian meditation music to create a calm atmosphere for our learning. In Phonics this week, we have been recapping and applying the sounds we have learnt so far this term. The children have learnt Set 1 from our Read Write Ink program and are having some assessments early next week to monitor their progress. It has come to light that the children’s oral blending is fantastic and we are impressed with how quickly they are picking up new skills with their Fred Talk. We have also been learning and talking about road safety and the importance of this. Super cat's story was a great age appropriate way of introducing this and gave us a platform for discussion during circle time. Tomorrow evening, you will receive your child’s interim report. I will send these across in a PDF in a private Dojo message after school. I am looking forward to introducing a new topic this coming week, learning all about ‘people who help us’. Take care, Mrs Nuthall. 🌈 Comments are closed.
