Happy Friday!
This week has been a week of Swimming, writing and Magnetic personalities! This week, we have been working on our English text Granny Came Here on the Windrush. We have completed our final write, which is a piece of information based on the Windrush Generation. Maths has seen us complete our unit on Multiplication and Division and begin our new unit on Fractions. Science saw us exploring Magnetic materials, whilst some small groups worked with Miss Davies to create their own electro-magnets. Miss Brooking has explored Music, French and we had our first Mini-Police session with PC Matt Young, the children are very much looking forward to their second session next week. On Thursday, the year 5s really enjoyed their final swimming session, whilst the year 4s worked on their times table with Miss Penny. I have been very impressed with the Year 5s swimming skills, they have all worked brilliantly on these over the last half term - well done Year 5s! Finally, P.E has seen us developing our Hockey skills, we have worked on passing and intercepting this week. Next week, sees us starting a new writing unit - watch this space. We will continue our unit on Fractions in Maths, complete our work on Medieval Monarchs in History and work on our Tag rugby and Handball skills in P.E. P.E. will be on Tuesday and Friday for this half term, so please send the children in with their kits on on Tuesdays and Fridays. Finally, the children's home learning will be evolving this half term. Reading is very much forefront of our minds and it has been brilliant to see how many children read regularly at home. the children will receive 5 learning points for an entire week of non-stop reading so please ensure that you fill in those Reading Records. We now have access to the platforms Maths.co.uk and Spag.com. We will become familiar with these at school over the next few weeks and then these will begin to be the source of some of our home learning They will revert back to their homework book, spellings and Maths questions next on Monday. Have a great weekend everybody, enjoy the Sun. See you on Monday. Jason Foreman Comments are closed.
