Happy Friday!
This week has been a week of personification poetry, fractions and time and Rounders! This week, we have worked on our own personification poems, using the poem Evening Class as inspiration. The children have written well, with some fantastic images and use of personification in their poetry. We have also been working hard on our unit on Fractions, multiplying fractions by integers. Miss Brooking has explored Music, French, Computing and art this week. Finally, P.E has seen us developing our Rounders skills, we have worked on putting all of the skills that we have been learning into practise this week, through small team game situations. P.E. will continue to be on Tuesday and Friday for this half term, so please send the children in with their kits on on Tuesdays and Fridays. Finally, the children's home learning will be evolving this half term. Reading is very much forefront of our minds and it has been brilliant to see how many children read regularly at home. the children will receive 5 learning points for an entire week of non-stop reading so please ensure that you fill in those Reading Records. We now have access to the platforms Maths.co.uk and Spag.com. This week's home learning will be on these platforms, alongside the spelling and the reading. The children have their usernames and passwords for these in their Reading Records, if you have any issues around these, please contact me via Dojo to clarify. I have posted new activities on these platforms for the children to work on. I have also challenged them to go green on their TTRS heatmaps. To do this, they need to answer all questions up to 12 x 12 in 4 seconds or under. Time for lightning fingers! My apologies on behalf of my i-pad this week, for the lack of photographs, it is experiencing a few technical issues, hopefully soon to be rectified! Have a great weekend everybody - enjoy the sunshine! Jason Foreman Comments are closed.
