Despite it being another short week, we have still had a busy week.
Year 1 started the week by standing in assembly and very proudly sharing all the knowledge and passion for protecting our local rivers in front of the whole school. I was very impressed with all their hard work and how they stood up and spoke in front of everyone with confidence. We have begun our new story in literacy, The Odd Egg and we are loving it so far. Year 1 have enjoyed describing different eggs and predicting what might hatch out of them. We are also excited to find out what happens to the egg the duck has found. Reception have looked at butterfly life cycles this week, recreating the cycles and looking at the hungry caterpillar in drawing club. They have completed some great writing along with their caterpillar pictures. We have looked at the characteristics living things this week using MRS GREN to help us remember. We then joined Beech class in forest school to see if we could find different living things. We enjoyed time with Beech and Acorn children in forest school. In Geography, we have solidified our knowledge of the 5 oceans, using a song to help us. Reception are continuing to build confidence with their number bonds to 10 in maths and year 1 have been learning about arrays and making equal groups. Have a lovely weekend Miss Warwick and Team Comments are closed.
