It has been a busy first week back. We have done lots of art this week which will continue this half term through our mixing and making, reduce, reuse and recycle and crafting maps topics.
We have focused on colours this week, using our hands to learn about colour mixing and the different colours of the rainbow. We created collage rainbow pictures and used tweezers to move pompoms on a giant rainbow. The Colour Monster was our Drawing Club story and Reception enjoyed created their own colour monsters. Year 1 have been getting creative as well this week using oil pastels to map out a journey of their choice and have painted our baby bear clay chairs. We have written some advice to Duck in literacy on how he can look after his new baby alligator and have loved receiving a reply from duck in the post. In maths, we have been looking at sharing and grouping within fractions and directions including turns. Reception have begun looking at 2D shapes as well as sharing and grouping. In science we looked at solids, liquids and gases. They children became particles and moved around the classroom in the different ways particles of solids, liquids and gases might move. Have a lovely weekend Miss Warwick and Team Comments are closed.
