We started the week with a bear hunt at forest school, celebrated Harvest festival at church and ended it numbers and dancing!
Thank you all for your food donations for Harvest and the Christmas market. Have a cosy half term! Karen, Florence and Kath Lots of learning on the decking this week, when it has been too wet to be at forest school. It was damp and dark on the decking so we built a cosy camp for reading books and conkers were used for floating and sinking activities in the water. Rachel brought us a present, our very own bubble machine, we tried to count how many bubbles were in the air. Our forest school walk led us to find a wild mushroom, we were careful to move it without touching it and Karen told us about invisible germs that need to be wiped off our hands after forest school.
Quote for the week - Autumn carries gold in it's pocket. It has been such a fun filled busy week in Acorn class, The days fly by and before we know it it's the weekend again.
We have been..... Colour mixing, measuring, filling, emptying, washing, soaking, splashing and getting very wet! Being creative and recreating Kandinsky circles Apple printing with Autumn colours Going on a walk to the big play ground with chalk in hand. drew around shadows, people big and small, feet, hands and the gingerbread man When we needed a calm moment we found the drip timers and relaxed with them for a little while Before acting like a gang of Pirates having a party in the home corner. Quote for the week - It's fun to have fun but you have to know how. Have a lovely weekend EY Team Last week we ventured back in time and this we went all the way to the moon! It was dark, it was exciting and it was LOUD.
When we got back from our adventure we pulled on our welly boots and went looking for big, medium and small natural objects on the field, built a house to keep the big bad woof away, made telescopes to look for sharks along with measuring in the water tray, sorting pompoms, community drawing and lots of play in the sand. Quote for the week - The best thing about space travel is that it made it possible to go anywhere. Enjoy the weekend |
