A week filled with Dragon dancing, noodle rolling, chop stick struggles, lantern making, yummy lunches and rice explosions!
That was just our Luna New Year celebrations. We also made time for creating, mark making, shape drawing, number ordering and a kennel full of dogs on leads. Happy Friday Our week has been filled with thoughts and talks of woodland animals, acorn class were very interested in Hedgehogs, where they live and what they eat. As the week has gone on we moved into a different environment and our conversations moved onto creatures in the ocean....
How big are they? What colour are they? how do they move? After reading Room on the broom together the children were inspired to make potions using playdough and a sprinkle of magic. Happy Friday! It has been a cold week on the decking, a cosy week inside and a burst of fresh air at forest school!
cold hands, warm coats, pink noses and wellie boots! Our topic for this half term is Animals. We will be exploring where they live, what they eat and how they move about. Along with exploring Chinese culture in preparation for the Luna New Year January 29th. |
